Divider section

The Divider section of Local draws a line or adds empty space between two sections, with your own width, style and color.

Applies to: Local 4.2.1 and later. Added in: Local 2.6.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Local 4.2.1.

The Divider section draws a horizontal line between two sections, as a solid, dotted, dashed or double line, or as a repeating image pattern.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Divider

Line size

  • Height sets the thickness of the line, from 1 to 100 px (default 1 px). With a Divider Image, it sets the height of the pattern strip.
  • Fullwidth (on by default) stretches the line to the edges of the screen. Turn it off to keep it inside the page width.

Divider Design

  • Color sets the line color (black by default).
  • Style sets Solid, Dotted, Dashed or Double. Double needs a Height of at least 3 px to show two lines.
  • Divider Image replaces the line with an image repeated horizontally, for example a wave or a zigzag. It replaces Color and Style. Use an image that tiles without a visible seam.

Section design

  • Remove top margin removes the space between the section above and the line.
  • Remove bottom margin removes the space between the line and the section below.

Turn on both for a line that touches the sections around it.

How do I add empty space instead of a line?

Set Color to the background color of the page and set Height to the space you want. The section then adds that space plus its margins. For space inside a Flex section, use the Empty space block.
