Text columns with images section

The Text columns with images section of Local shows images with a title, text and link in columns, as a grid or slider.

Applies to: Local 4.2.1 and later. Added in: Local 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Local 4.2.1.

The Text columns with images section shows a row of images, each with a title, a caption and an optional link, as a slider or a grid. It works like Text columns with icons, with an image in place of the icon and a card design option.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Text columns with images

Content

  • Layout shows the items as a Slider (default) or a Grid.
  • Desktop layout sets 3, 4 (default), 5 or 6 items per row on desktop. The layout adapts on smaller screens.
  • Border radius rounds the images, 0 to 200 px. The default 200 px makes square images round.

Custom card design

  • Inherit card design properties shows every item as a card, with the card background, border, corner radius and shadow from Theme settings. When it is off, the items are plain image and text on the section background.
  • With it on, Background, Text, Accent, Border, Shadow, Hide border and Hide shadow override the card colors for this section.

Text color under Section design sets the heading and text color when the items are not cards. The other settings are the standard ones, see General section styling.

Blocks

Text with icon

Each item is a block that keeps the name Text with icon in the editor, although it shows an image.

  • Image is the picture of the item, ideally 640 x 640 px.
  • Title and Caption are the text. The title's tag is under SEO → Heading tag.
  • Link makes the item clickable. Open link in a new window opens it in a new tab.

Unlike Text columns with icons, the items have no icon picker and no icon color.

How do I show square images instead of circles?

Set Border radius to 0 px for square corners, or to a small value such as 10 px for slightly rounded ones.
