What Seventh does not do

Check here whether Seventh can do something before you search the settings. Each entry states one limit of Seventh 4.0.0, what to do instead, and the page that explains it.

Cart and checkoutCopy Anchor Link

• Seventh does not support different free shipping thresholds per market. Use a third-party shipping app, or request custom work. See Cart theme settings.
• Seventh does not block the checkout address when a customer has not selected the terms checkbox. The check runs only in the cart, and Shopify controls the checkout. See Cart theme settings.
• Seventh does not apply shipping discounts in the cart. Shopify applies them at checkout. See Cart theme settings.
• Seventh does not support cart recommendations or upsells on the cart page. They appear only in the cart drawer. See Cart page.

• Seventh does not run app blocks that need JavaScript initialization inside the Quick view popup. This is a Shopify platform limit. Place the app block on the product page instead. See Product card theme settings.
• Seventh does not send automatic back in stock emails. The Back in stock alert block sends you a notification. Use a back in stock app for automatic emails. See Product availability blocks.
• Seventh does not take pre-orders with special payment terms. Show "pre-order" button label changes only the button text. Use a pre-order app. See Product variants and buy buttons blocks.
• Seventh does not support adding a price to a custom property. Use a product options app for paid personalization. See Product variants and buy buttons blocks.
• Seventh does not show ratings from review apps that do not use Shopify's review metafields. Use the app's own app block. See Product information blocks.
• Seventh does not support recommendation rules in the theme editor, such as "same collection only". Use Shopify's Search & Discovery app. See Product recommendations section.
• Seventh does not filter videos and 3D models by variant. With Filter media by variant on, they show for every variant. See Product page.

• Seventh does not support choosing filters per collection. Shopify applies the same filters everywhere. To turn filtering off on some collections, use a second collection template. See Collection filters and sorting.
• Seventh does not support comparing products that customers select outside the collection grid, or more than 4 products in one comparison. Use the Product comparison section with a fixed list of products on other pages. See Product comparison page.
• Seventh does not support collection results on the Search page, because Shopify does not let a theme show collections there. Use predictive search instead. The search drawer shows matching collections while the customer types. See Search page.

Badges, swatches and product cardsCopy Anchor Link

• Seventh does not calculate a percentage badge on product cards for products whose variants have different prices. Since Seventh 2.0.0 those cards show "On Sale". See Product badges theme settings.
• Seventh does not support a swatch size setting for the mini product block. See Mini product block theme settings.
• Seventh does not show submenus in the Menu block, the Links card or a Menu inside a mega menu. Only top-level links appear. See Menu block.

• Seventh does not support a separate announcement bar per market. Translate the text with Translate & Adapt instead. See Announcement bars section.
• Seventh does not support a real age check. The Age verification modal asks for confirmation only. Use an age verification app for legal checks. See Modals section.
• Seventh does not support limiting a popover per customer account. Popup frequency works per browser. See Troubleshoot popovers and modals.
• Seventh does not open the Exit intent popup on phones and tablets, because exit intent needs a mouse. See Modals section.
• Seventh does not support opening a Modal card from a button. Use the Popup button block, which opens a page in a modal. See Popup button block.

• Seventh does not support hiding a section on mobile. Only Flex cards in the Flexible grid section have Hide on mobile, so build that content in a Flexible grid. See Flexible grid section.
• Seventh does not support more than one Rich text card per row in the Rich text grid section. Use the Custom grid or Flexible grid section. See Rich text grid section.
• Seventh does not support more than two images in one Image comparison card. Add more Image comparison cards to the same section to compare several pairs. See Image comparison section.
• Seventh does not support different promo cards per tab in the Featured collection: tabs section. See Featured collection: tabs section.
• Seventh does not support Extend section width to the edges of the screen in the Animated heading section. Set Text container width to change how wide the text runs. See Animated heading section.
• Seventh does not support the Custom grid section in the Drawers group, the Overlay group or on the password page. See Custom grid section.
• Seventh does not show the Message to your visitors text from Shopify's Store access settings on the password page. Write the message in the Heading blocks of the password page instead. See Password page.
• Seventh does not import reviews from review apps into the Testimonials section or the Testimonial card. Use the app's own app block. See Testimonials section.
• Seventh does not support Instagram posts or Reels in the Media gallery, because a Shopify theme cannot load them. Media gallery: social is an Instagram-style grid of images you upload. Set the "Follow Us" button's Link to your profile, or use a social feed app's app block. See Media gallery section.
• Seventh does not support more than 20 different hotspot products on one page in Shop the look: product slider sections. This is a Shopify lookup limit. Move some sections to another page. See Shop the look: product slider section.
• Seventh does not start or end a discount with a countdown. Schedule the discount in Shopify admin. See Countdown section.
• Seventh does not create a discount code for newsletter subscribers or send signups to an email service directly. Use the email service's Shopify app. See Newsletter section.

• Seventh does not support uploading a custom font with theme settings. Fonts come from Shopify's font library. A custom font needs custom code. See Typography theme settings.

• Seventh does not support navigation settings per slider. Show arrows and Pagination apply to all sliders. See Sliders navigation theme settings.
