Typography theme settings
The Typography theme settings choose the body, heading and accent fonts in Seventh and set their size, weight, line height and letter spacing.

The Typography theme settings choose the three fonts of the store (Body, Headings and Accent) and their base settings. Every text block in Seventh uses one of these fonts.

Body, Headings and Accent fonts
Seventh has three font roles. Each text block (Heading, Text, Caption, Button and others) has a Font setting with the options Body, Headings and Accent, so you decide per block which role it uses.
- Body is the default for paragraphs, product details and most small text.
- Headings is the default for headings.
- Accent is a contrasting font, by default an italic serif, for single words or short headings.
Tip: Headings & accent fonts are made to be used together, or at least for the same purposes. Your store will look better if these two have a somewhat similar base size, so that when you put a heading font near an accent font, you will not get a big size difference between the two.
Size, line height and letter spacing
Each font role has four settings:
- Font family picks the font from Shopify's font library.
- Base size scales every text size of that role. Block sizes such as Medium or Large are calculated from it, so raising the Headings Base size makes every heading larger at once. Sizes also get smaller automatically on tablet and mobile.
- Line height sets the default line height. A block can set its own.
- Letter spacing is set only here. It is measured in hundredths of the font size: 1 adds 0.01 em between letters, and -3 removes 0.03 em.
Where do the fonts come from?
The font pickers list the fonts of Shopify's font library, which Shopify hosts and licenses for you. Shopify controls this list, not Seventh. See Shopify's font library.
Can I upload my own font?
Not with theme settings. A font that is not in Shopify's font library needs a theme code change, which Krown support does not provide. See Custom CSS and code and Custom work and code changes.

Where to find it: Theme settings → Typography → Body
Font family (font, default: Dm Sans (weight 400)).
Base size (slider 12 to 26 px, default: 18 px): Sets the base size of the Body font on desktop. All Body text sizes in blocks are calculated from it and get smaller on tablet and mobile.
Line height (slider 1 to 2, step 0.1, default: 1.3): Sets the default line height of the Body font, as a multiple of the font size. Blocks with a Line height setting can change it.
Letter spacing (slider -10 to 20, default: 0): Sets the space between letters of the Body font, in hundredths of the font size.

Base size (slider 24 to 120 px, step 2, default: 82 px): Sets the base size of the Headings font on desktop. All heading sizes in blocks are calculated from it and get smaller on tablet and mobile.
Line height (slider 0.8 to 2, step 0.1, default: 0.9): Sets the default line height of the Headings font, as a multiple of the font size. Blocks with a Line height setting can change it.
Letter spacing (slider -10 to 20, default: 1): Sets the space between letters of the Headings font, in hundredths of the font size.

Font family (font, default: Fraunces (italic, weight 300)).
Base size (slider 24 to 120 px, step 2, default: 90 px): Sets the base size of the Accent font on desktop. All Accent text sizes in blocks are calculated from it and get smaller on tablet and mobile.
Line height (slider 0.8 to 2, step 0.1, default: 0.9): Sets the default line height of the Accent font, as a multiple of the font size. Blocks with a Line height setting can change it.
Letter spacing (slider -10 to 20, default: -3): Sets the space between letters of the Accent font, in hundredths of the font size.
