Buttons & forms theme settings

The Buttons & forms theme settings set the shape and style of every button and form field in Seventh.

Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.

The Buttons & forms theme settings set the global look of every button and form field in the store. Button blocks can change their size and style, but not these settings.

Where to find it: Theme settings → Buttons & forms

Button style

These settings apply to every button in the store:

  • Corner roundness sets the corner shape of buttons and form fields.
  • Buttons border size sets the border width of outline buttons.
  • Use uppercase labels for buttons makes all labels uppercase.
  • Buttons font weight sets the label weight. Bolder uses the bold weight of the Body font.
  • Buttons hover animation picks an opacity or a vertical movement effect, on desktop only.

Form fields

Form fields (inputs, dropdowns and text areas) share Corner roundness with the buttons.

The corner roundness setting applies to forms as well, however, it is maxed out at 5px, meaning that forms will not share the "Fully rounded" option with the buttons. The rest of the design in forms is standardized throughout the theme for accessibility purposes and cannot be edited without customizations.

For a different form design, see Custom work and code changes.

Can I give one button a different shape?

No. Corner roundness, border size and hover animation always come from Theme settings → Buttons & forms. The Button block sets only the size and the solid or outline style of each button. See Button block.
