Embellishments theme settings
The Embellishments theme settings in Seventh turn the sticky footer on or off and choose the image loading effect, blur or solid color.
Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.
The Embellishments theme settings add a sticky footer effect and choose how images look while they load, for the whole store.

Sticky footer
With Sticky footer on, the footer stays fixed behind the page content. As the customer scrolls to the bottom, the content moves up and uncovers the footer with a slight parallax movement.
When the footer is taller than the browser window, Seventh shows it as a normal footer instead.
Image loading visuals
Image loading visuals sets what fills the space of an image until it has loaded. Since Seventh 3.0.0 you can choose between:
- Blur: shows a blurred, very small version of the image, which sharpens when the full image arrives.
- Solid color: shows a flat area in the text color of the color scheme at 4 percent opacity.
Videos use the same loading visual.

Sticky footer (checkbox, default: off): Keeps the footer fixed behind the page, so scrolling to the bottom uncovers it. Only works when the footer's height is shorter than the browser window.

Where to find it: Theme settings → Embellishments → Animations
Image loading visuals (dropdown, default: Blur): Sets what fills an image's space while it loads: a blurred preview of the image (Blur) or a light flat color (Solid color). Applies to videos too. Options: Blur, Solid color.
