Media gallery section

The Media gallery section shows a set of images as a slider, a social feed style row or a collage. It is a preset, not a section of its own: two of its presets are Custom grid sections and one is a Flexible grid section.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Media gallery: slider, Media gallery: social or Media gallery: flex in the Media & galleries category.

Each preset adds a section header and a set of cards with images.

• A Custom grid section with Layout set to Slider and Cards size Small (4 cards in view on desktop, 2 on mobile).
• 5 cards. Each holds an Image block and a Heading block with a short label, for example "Front view" or "Back view".
• The section header holds a Caption block and a Heading block.

• A Custom grid section with Layout set to Slider and Cards size XSmall (5 cards in view on desktop, 2 on mobile).
• 5 cards with Show media background on, so each image fills its card.
• The first card also holds a Button block labeled "Follow Us". The button has no link by default: set its Link to your social profile.

• A Flexible grid section with 5 flex cards of different widths, on a 12-column grid.
• The first row has cards 4, 3 and 5 columns wide, and the first card is 2 rows tall. On mobile, the cards show two per row.
• The section header holds a Caption block and a Heading block.

The Media gallery section has no settings of its own:

• Media gallery: slider and Media gallery: social use the settings of the Custom grid section.
• Media gallery: flex uses the settings of the Flexible grid section, where each card sets its own width and height.
• The shared Section design settings are on General section styling.

In Media gallery: slider, each gallery item is a Card block with an Image block and a Heading block as a caption. In the slider presets, images with the same aspect ratio make the cards line up at the same height.

Can the Media gallery show my Instagram feed?Copy Anchor Link

No. Media gallery: social is an Instagram-style grid of images that you upload in the theme editor. A Shopify theme cannot load Instagram posts or Reels, so Seventh does not load posts from Instagram or another social network. Set the Link of the "Follow Us" button to your profile, so customers can open the real feed. To show a live feed in the store, use a social feed app and add its app block, for example with the Apps section.
