Text columns section
The Text columns section in Seventh is a Multicolumn preset of columns with headings, text and optional images or icons.
Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.
The Text columns section shows four columns side by side, each with an icon or image, a heading and a short text. It is a preset of the Multicolumn section, in two versions: Text columns and Text columns with images.
Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Text columns or Text columns with images.
What it shows
Both presets add a section header and four Column blocks. Each Column holds three blocks, in this order:
- Text columns: an Icon, a Heading and a Text block. The sample icons are a globe, a wallet, a shield and a clock, with the headings "Worldwide delivery", "Free returns", "Protection" and "24/7 support".
- Text columns with images: an Image, a Heading and a Text block, with the same headings.
Desktop columns is Standard: 4 columns. Tablets and phones show 2 columns.
Settings and blocks
The Text columns section has no settings of its own.
- Layout, color scheme and spacing are the Multicolumn section settings, listed in Multicolumn section.
- The blocks are documented in Icon block, Image block, Heading block and Text block.
How do I change the number of text columns?
Add or remove Column blocks inside the section, then set Desktop columns in the Multicolumn section settings to the same number. For example, for three columns remove one Column and set Desktop columns to Standard: 3 columns.
How do I make every text column the same height?
Set Columns alignment to Stretch in the section settings. Every Column in the row then gets the height of the tallest one. Plain Column blocks have no background, so the effect is visible only when you use Card blocks instead of Columns. See Blank card.
