Links list section

The Links list section in Seventh shows large text links with images that follow the cursor. This page lists its settings and link blocks.

Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.

The Links list section shows a list of large text links, each with its own image. On desktop the image appears when a customer points at a link and follows the mouse. On mobile it shows as a small thumbnail next to the link.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Links list.

What the section shows

  • An optional section header, for a heading and text. See General section styling.
  • One Section links block, which sets the layout and typography of all links.
  • Link blocks inside Section links. Each Link has a Title, an Image and a Link.

Use it for a list of collections, campaigns or pages on the home page, for example "Women, Men, Accessories, Sale" with a lifestyle image behind each one.

Layout and typography

These settings are in the Section links block and apply to every link:

  • Layout places the links next to each other (Horizontal) or one below the other (Vertical) on desktop. On mobile they are always one below the other.
  • Font, Text size, Text weight and Case set the look of the links.
  • Custom text color overrides the color scheme text color.

Select the Links list section, then select Section links.

Select Add block inside Section links and choose Link.

Enter a Title, choose an Image and set the Link. A Link without an image shows a placeholder image.

On screens narrower than 768 px Seventh does not use the hover effect. The image is always visible as a thumbnail next to the title, and a tap opens the link.

Every setting on this page, one list per section or block, with its type and default.
