The Contact form section shows a form that customers use to send you a message. It is a preset of the Multicolumn section with one card that holds a heading and a Contact form block.
Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Contact form (Add section category Forms). The default Contact page template (page.contact) already contains a contact form.
What the section contains
The preset adds an empty section header and one Card. Desktop columns is Standard: 1 column. The Card holds, in this order:
- A Heading block: "Send a message".
- A Contact form block with four fields:
- Name & email.
- A Dropdown "Select topic" (Sales, Returns, Press, General inquiry; required).
- A multi-line Field "Message" (required).
- A Submit button "Send message".
Where the settings are
The Contact form section has no settings of its own:
- Layout, color scheme and spacing are the Multicolumn section settings, listed in Multicolumn section.
- The form fields, labels and the submit button are documented in Contact form block.
- The card is documented in Blank card.
Where do contact form messages go?
Shopify sends them, not Seventh. Shopify delivers them to your store's sender email address, which you set in Shopify admin.
If messages do not arrive, check that address and your spam folder first. Seventh only displays the form; Shopify handles the sending.
How do I put text or contact details next to the form?
Add a Column next to the form card:
- Set Desktop columns to Standard: 2 columns or 66% 34%.
- Select Add block in the section and add a Column.
- Inside the Column, add Heading and Text blocks with your address, phone number or opening hours.
- Drag the Column before or after the form card.
