Image section

The Image section in Seventh is a Custom grid preset that shows one image in a card, with optional text and a link.

Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.

The Image section shows one image across the full content width of a page. It is a preset of the Custom grid section: Seventh adds a Custom grid section with one card that holds an Image block.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Image in the Media & galleries category.

What the section shows

  • An empty section header.
  • One card that fills the full row (Cards size XLarge, also one per row on mobile).
  • The card is a Card block with Remove card background on, so only the image shows. It holds one Image block.

Select the Image block to choose the image, its link and its shape. The Image block settings are on Image block.

Settings

The Image section has no settings of its own. After you add it, it is a Custom grid section, with the Custom grid settings:

How do I make the image fill the whole screen width?

Turn on Extend section width to the edges of the screen under Section design. Set Top padding and Bottom padding to None to remove the space above and below the image.

How do I show two images side by side?

Select Add block inside the Image section and add a second Card with an Image block. Then set Cards size to Large, so 2 cards fit in one row. For images with text on top, use the Promotions section instead.
