Empty space block
The Empty space block in Seventh adds vertical space between blocks, without a line, in sections and cards.
Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.
The Empty space block adds vertical space between two blocks in a section or card, without a line. Use it for breathing room or to separate content groups.
Where to find it: select Add block inside a section or card in the theme editor, then choose Empty space.
How much space does the Empty space block add?
The Spacing size you select, plus the normal gap between blocks. The Empty space block is a block like any other, so the card's Inner blocks spacing (or the gap of its Content group) is added above and below it. With Spacing size set to None, the block still adds that gap.
To push content to the bottom of a card, use the card's Minimum height and Vertical alignment instead of several Empty space blocks.
