Table block
The Table block in Seventh shows a table of text and checkmarks, for specifications, size charts and feature comparisons.
Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 3.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.
The Table block shows a heading and a grid of cells, for product specifications, size charts or feature comparisons. Each cell is a Text or Checkmark block inside the Table.
Where to find it: select Add block inside a section or card in the theme editor, then choose Table. The Table section is a Multicolumn preset with tables ready to use.
How a Table is built
One Table block is one part of a table: a heading and the cells under it or next to it.
- The heading is the Content in Table → Heading. Leave it empty for a table without a heading.
- The cells are blocks inside the Table: Text (rich text) and Checkmark (a check icon, for "included" in a feature list). Select Add block inside the Table to add cells.
- Blocks layout sets how many cells sit in one row: 1 to 4 columns. Cells fill each row from left to right, then start a new row.
A new Table block starts with the heading "Specifications", two columns and six Text cells.
Making a specifications table
Add a Table block
Select Add block in the card or column and choose Table. Type the table title in Content, or leave it empty.
Choose the layout
Set Blocks layout to 2 columns, for a name and a value per row.
Fill in the cells
Type the names and values in the Text cells, in reading order: name, value, name, value. Add or remove Text blocks for more or fewer rows.
To put the heading to the left of the cells instead of on top, set Table → Heading → Style to Column. Stack several Table blocks with Style Column for a table with a label column, for example one block per product feature.
Table colors
Leave the colors transparent to use the color scheme of the section or card.
- Background color and Text color in Table → Heading color the heading.
- Blocks background color, Blocks text color and Checkmark color in Table → Style color the cells.
- The border lines follow the cell text color.
Can I connect a Table to product data?
Yes, cell by cell. Connect the Text of a cell to a product field or metafield as a dynamic source, so one Table on the product page shows each product's own values. Seventh does not build a table from a single metafield automatically.
