Custom HTML / Liquid section

The Custom HTML / Liquid section of Borders runs your own HTML or Liquid code in a page, with an optional section heading.

Applies to: Borders 3.1.0 and later. Added in: Borders 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Borders 3.1.0.

The Custom HTML / Liquid section runs your own HTML or Liquid code as a section of the page, for example an embed code from a form service or a small piece of Liquid that shows product data. You can add it to templates, the Header group and the Footer group.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Custom HTML / Liquid.

Custom Liquid

  • Paste your HTML, Liquid, <style> or <script> code into Custom Liquid.
  • The code runs on every page that uses the template, or on every page when the section is in the Header or Footer group.
  • On a product template, Liquid such as {{ product.title }} reads the current product.

Krown support does not provide help with custom code. If the code breaks the page, remove it from the section or hide the section. See Custom work and code changes.

Section heading and design

  • Heading, Heading tag and Hide heading border add an optional title above your code. See General section styling.
  • Remove inner padding removes the padding around your code, so it fills the section edge to edge.
  • Hide section bottom border removes the line between this section and the next one.

The section has no Color scheme: it uses the store's Default color scheme from Colors theme settings.

Can I show the code on one product only?

Yes, with its own template. The section shows on every page that uses the template.

Create a product template

In the theme editor, open the page picker, choose Products and create a new template.

Add the section

In the new template, select Add section → Custom HTML / Liquid and paste your code.

Assign the template

In Shopify admin → Products, open the product and choose the new template under Theme template. See Assigning different page templates to different products.

Is this the same as the Custom Liquid block?

No. The Custom HTML / Liquid section is a full section with its own heading and padding. The Custom Liquid block runs code inside a Flex columns column or a Flex grid card, next to other blocks.
