Custom HTML / Liquid section
The Custom HTML / Liquid section adds your own HTML or Liquid code, with an optional heading, anywhere on a Kingdom page.
Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.
The Custom HTML / Liquid section adds your own HTML or Liquid code anywhere on a Kingdom page, with an optional heading above it. Use it for an embed code from another service, or for a snippet an app gives you to paste.
Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Custom HTML / Liquid (Add section category Custom).
Adding your code
- Paste the code into Custom HTML / Liquid. The preview updates when you leave the field.
- Heading shows a title above the code; leave it empty for none. Heading tag sets its HTML tag.
- Enable inner content spacing (default on) gives the code the same side padding as the rest of the page. Turn it off for an embed that should run edge to edge. See General section settings.
The code is a setting, so it stays in place when you update Kingdom.
Krown support does not provide help with custom code. If the code comes from an app or a service, ask its support for help with it. See Custom work and code changes.
Why does my code not show in the theme editor?
Because some scripts run only on the live storefront, or need the page to reload. Save, then open the page in the storefront preview. If it still does not show, check the code with the service that gave it to you.
Can I add code inside a flex card?
Yes. Use the Custom Liquid block inside a Card of the Flex cards section or a Text card of the Flex grid section.
