Apps section

The Apps section holds app blocks from your installed Shopify apps anywhere on a Kingdom page, with an optional heading.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The Apps section holds blocks from the Shopify apps you installed, such as reviews, upsells or forms, anywhere on a Kingdom page. It can show a heading above them.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Apps (Add section category Custom).

Adding app blocks

Add the section

In the theme editor, open the page, select Add section and choose Apps.

Add the app block

Inside the Apps section, select Add block. The list shows the blocks of your installed apps. Choose the one you need.

Set the heading and spacing

Type a Heading if the block needs a title; leave it empty for none. Keep Enable inner content spacing on to give the app the same side padding as the rest of the page.

The section can hold several app blocks, shown one under the other. The app's own settings are inside its block; Kingdom does not style the app content. Heading tag sets the HTML tag of the heading, see General section settings.

Why does my app not appear in Add block?

Because the app does not offer a theme app block. Some apps add an app embed instead, which runs on every page and is turned on in the theme editor under App embeds. Other apps ask you to paste a code snippet; ask the app's support where it goes, or use a Custom HTML / Liquid section.

Can I put app blocks inside other sections?

Only in a few. The Product page section, Featured product, the subtotal section of the cart page, the Card of Flex cards and the Text card of Flex grid accept app blocks. Every other Kingdom section accepts only its own blocks, so use the Apps section there.
