Kingdom presets

The three Kingdom presets on the Shopify Theme Store, Kingdom, Queen and Prince, and what changes when you switch the theme style.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

Kingdom has three presets on the Shopify Theme Store: Kingdom, Queen and Prince. A preset is a starting look for the same theme. All three install the same sections, blocks, settings and templates; they differ only in their theme style.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → Theme style

The Theme Store's Kingdom preset is the theme style called King in the theme editor. Queen and Prince have the same name in both places.

A theme style sets the values of these Theme settings only:

  • the Sidebar, Body and Footer colors;
  • the headings and body fonts and their sizes, and the Primary navigation size;
  • in the product card: Media aspect ratio, Show second product media on hover, Emphasize featured products, Caption placement, the overlay caption colors and Show discount as...;
  • the cart: Cart type and Enable cart notes.

Setting up a different theme style

Open Theme style

In the theme editor, open Theme settings and select Theme style.

Choose a style

Select King, Queen or Prince, then select Change style. The preview changes to that style.

Save and check your settings

Save. Then check Theme settings → Colors, Typography and Product card: the style replaced your values there.

Changing the theme style overwrites your colors, fonts and the product card settings listed above. Note your own values first if you want to keep some of them.

Does changing the theme style delete my sections?

No. A theme style changes only Theme settings values. Your sections, blocks, templates, menus and content stay as they are. To get a preset's demo content as well, add that preset again from the Shopify Theme Store as a new theme.

Which preset should I choose?

Any of them: the features are the same in all three. Choose the one whose colors and fonts are closest to your brand, then change the colors and fonts in Theme settings.
