Prince preset

The Prince preset: a red sidebar with white text, Montserrat fonts and product captions shown over the image on hover in Kingdom.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The Prince preset gives Kingdom a red sidebar with white text, a white page with red accents and a dark footer, with Montserrat for all text. Product titles and prices show over the image when a customer hovers over a product card. In the theme editor its theme style is also called Prince.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → Theme style → Prince

The preset changes only theme settings values. Every Kingdom preset has the same sections, blocks and settings; see Kingdom presets.

  • Show second product media on hover: On.
  • Emphasize featured products: On.
  • Caption placement: Overlay. The caption appears over the image on hover on desktop, and below the image on phones.
  • Overlay caption background #000000 and Overlay caption text color #ffffff.
  • Show discount as...: Percentage.

Cart, in Theme settings → Cart: Cart type Drawer, Enable cart notes on.

All other settings keep the theme defaults. Change any value afterwards in Theme settings; the preset is only a starting point.

Why do product titles show below the image on my phone?

Because the overlay caption works only on screens 949 px wide or more. On phones and small tablets, Prince shows the title and price below the image, like the other presets.

Can I use the Prince sidebar without the overlay captions?

Yes. Apply the Prince theme style, then set Caption placement to Below image in Theme settings → Product card.
