Rich text section

The Rich text section shows headings, text, buttons and icons in Kingdom, with an optional image beside them on the left or right.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The Rich text section shows headings, text, buttons and icons, with an optional image beside them on the left or the right. Use it to tell your brand story or to introduce a collection.

Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Rich text (Add section category Storytelling).

Text blocks

The content is built from four kinds of blocks, in the order you drag them. You can use each kind several times.

  • Heading: a title in Heading, with a Heading size (Regular, Large or Extra large) and a Heading tag for search engines.
  • Text: a paragraph with bold, italic, links and lists.
  • Button: an outline button with a Button label and a Button link.
  • Icon: a small icon. Select an icon picks one of 24 built-in icons, such as Delivery, Giftbox or Security shield. Custom icon replaces it with your own image, 256 x 256 px. More icons to download are on resources.krownthemes.com/icons.

Text alignment sets the alignment of all blocks: Left (default), Center or Right.

Image

  • Image adds a picture next to the text. The section then splits in two halves: the text on one side, the image on the other.
  • Image position puts the image on the Left or the Right (the default).
  • Image height sets the image height: Regular (half the screen height), Large (75 percent, the default) or Full (the whole screen). The image is cropped to fill it, around the focal point you set on it in Shopify.
  • On screens 648 px wide or less, the text comes first and the image below it.

Without an image, the text sits in the middle of the page with the usual side padding.

Colors

  • Custom text color sets the color of the text, links, icons and button borders.
  • Custom background color fills the text area with a color. Without an image, it fills the whole section and adds space above and below it.

See General section settings.

Why does my heading look the same with every Heading tag?

Because Heading tag changes only the HTML tag that search engines read. The look comes from Heading size. Set the size you want, and keep the tag that fits the page structure, for example H2 for a section title.

Can I use my own icons?

Yes. Upload an image in the Icon block's Custom icon, ideally a 256 x 256 px PNG or SVG with a transparent background. It replaces the built-in icon of that block. Custom icons keep their own colors; Custom text color colors only the built-in icons.
