Heading section
The Heading section shows a single title between other sections in Kingdom, with a heading tag you choose for search engines.
Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.
The Heading section shows one title on its own, between other sections. Use it to introduce the sections below it, such as a group of collections or a gallery.
Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Heading (Add section category Content).
Title and heading tag
- Title sets the text (default "Heading"). It shows in the large heading style, aligned to the left, with the page's side padding.
- Heading tag sets the HTML tag: H1 to H4, or span (default H2). It changes how search engines read the page structure, not the size of the text. See General section settings.
The Heading section has no text, button or color settings. For a title with a text and a button, use a Rich text section.
Should the Heading section be an H1?
Only when it is the main title of the page and nothing else on the page is an H1. On the home page, one H1 helps search engines; on product, collection and blog pages, the page title is already the H1, so keep the Heading section at H2 or lower.
Can I center the heading?
Not with a setting. The Heading section is always aligned to the left. Kingdom does not have an alignment setting for it; the Rich text section can center its heading.
