Heading section

The Heading section shows a large heading, text and a button in Highlight, with up to 3 small images floating behind the text.

Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.

The Heading section shows a large statement, with an optional button and up to 3 small images that float behind the text as the page scrolls. Use it to separate two sections, introduce your brand or end a page with a call to action.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Heading (Content category).

Text and button

  • Content is the statement, shown in a large size. It supports bold, italic and links.
  • Heading shows a small title above the statement. Default: "Heading". Leave it empty for the statement alone.
  • Button label and Link add an underlined link under the text. The button shows when Button label is filled.
  • Text alignment aligns the text left, center or right.
  • Text size sets the statement size: Large (the default) or Extra large, which also uses a wider text area.
  • Heading tag sets the HTML level of the small heading for search engines. Default: span (no heading level).

Blocks

Image

Each Image block adds one small image behind the text, up to 3 per section. The images are placed around the text depending on Text alignment, and they move at a different speed than the text while the page scrolls. Landscape images show larger than portrait ones.

  • Image picks the picture. It keeps its own proportions.

The images are decorative: screen readers skip them, so do not put important information in them.

Where else is the Heading section used?

The bundled templates use it: the home page, the story page template, the alternate product template, and the password page, where it shows "Opening soon". See Page and Password page.

Why does my heading not look like a heading?

Because Heading is the small title. The large text of the section is Content. Write your main statement in Content, and use Heading only for a short label above it, or leave it empty.
