Images with text slider section
The Images with text slider section shows images with a title and caption in a draggable slider in Highlight.
Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.
The Images with text slider section shows images with a title above and a caption below each, in a row that customers drag sideways. It was designed for product features, and also works for team members, a brand story or a plain image slider.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Images with text slider (Storytelling category).
Slider
- Media aspect ratio crops every image to one shape: Short (4:3), Square (1:1, the default), Tall (5:6) or Taller (2:3).
- Heading shows a small title above the slider. Default: "Images with text slider".
- Heading tag sets the HTML level of the heading for search engines.
- About three images show at a time on desktop and fewer on phones; customers drag or use the arrows to see the rest.
Blocks
Image
Each Image block is one slide, up to 12. The section starts with four.
- Image picks the picture.
- Title shows above the image. Default: "Image title".
- Caption shows under the image. It supports bold, italic, links and lists.
Is this the same as the Additional product images block?
It works the same way. The product page has an Additional product images block, a copy of this section that shows up to 6 images under the product gallery and can read its content from metafields. See Product page.
All Images with text slider settings
Every setting, with its type and default.
Accepts these blocks: Image (up to 12 blocks in the section).
Heading (text field, default: "Images with text slider").
Media aspect ratio (dropdown, default: Cropped: Square (1:1)): Crops every image of the slider to the same shape. Options: Cropped: Short (4:3), Cropped: Square (1:1), Cropped: Tall (5:6), Cropped: Taller (2:3).

Heading tag (dropdown, default: H2): Specify heading level to help search engines index the structure of your page. Options: H1, H2, H3, H4, span.
Image block
Where to find it: Images with text slider → Add block → Image
Image (image): Sets the slide's picture, cropped to the section's Media aspect ratio.
Title (text field, default: "Image title"): Sets the title shown above the image.
Caption (rich text, default: "Write about specific product features or store details."): Sets the caption shown under the image.
