Image section
The Image section shows one full-width image with an optional mobile image and link on a Highlight page.
Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.
The Image section shows one image across the width of the page, at its own height, with an optional second image for mobile and an optional link.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Image (Media & galleries category).
Image and link
- Image picks the picture. It is never cropped: it fills the page width and keeps its own proportions.
- Mobile image (optional) replaces the image on tablets and phones (screens up to 1,023 px wide), for example a portrait crop of a wide banner.
- Link makes the whole image a link.
- Heading shows a small title above the image. Default: "Full width image". Clear it for the image alone.
- Heading tag sets the HTML level of the heading for search engines.
Why is my image smaller than the page?
Highlight keeps a margin on both sides of most sections, and the Image section lines up with them on desktop. On tablets and phones the image uses more of the width.
Can I put text on the image?
No. The Image section shows the image only. For text over an image, use the Images with text overlay section or a Text card in the Flex grid section.
