Slideshow: horizontal section
The Slideshow: horizontal section shows up to 9 images that slide sideways in Highlight, each with an optional link.

The Slideshow: horizontal section shows up to 9 images that customers slide sideways, like the image slider of the product page. Each image can link to a page. Added in Highlight 3.0.0.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Slideshow: horizontal (Media & galleries category).
Size
- Desktop slider height sets the height of the slides, 40 to 80 % of the browser window height. Default: 70 %.
- Horizontal mobile slider height does the same on tablets and phones (screens up to 835 px wide).
- Heading shows a small title above the slider. Leave it empty for no title.
- Heading tag sets the HTML level of the heading for search engines.
The images fill the slide and are cropped to its shape around their focal point. Set the focal point in the image picker or in Shopify admin → Content → Files.
Blocks
Image
Each Image block is one slide, up to 9. The section starts with two.
- Image picks the slide's picture.
- Link makes the slide a link. Image links were added in Highlight 3.1.0.
- Open link in a new window opens the link in a new browser tab.
With one slide, the slider arrows are hidden.
Can the slides have text?
No. The slides show images only. For slides with headings and buttons, use the Slideshow: vertical section; for images with a title and caption in a slider, use the Images with text slider section.
Does the slideshow play by itself?
No. Customers move it with the arrows or by swiping. Highlight's slideshows do not autoplay.

Every setting, with its type and default.
Accepts these blocks: Image (up to 9 blocks in the section).
Heading (text field, default: "Slideshow (horizontal)").
Desktop slider height (slider 40 to 80 %, step 5, default: 70 %): Sets the slide height on desktop, as a percentage of the browser window height.
Horizontal mobile slider height (slider 40 to 80 %, step 5, default: 70 %): Sets the slide height on screens up to 835 px wide, as a percentage of the browser window height.

Heading tag (dropdown, default: H2): Specify heading level to help search engines index the structure of your page. Options: H1, H2, H3, H4, span.
Image block
Where to find it: Slideshow: horizontal → Add block → Image
Image (image): Sets the slide's picture. It fills the slide, cropped around its focal point.
Link (link): Makes the slide a link.
Open link in a new window (checkbox, default: off): Opens the slide's link in a new browser tab.
