Featured collection section
The Featured collection section shows products from one collection in a Split product grid, in rows of products, with a link to the collection.
Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.
The Featured collection section shows products from one collection in a grid of tiles across the full width of the page, 4 per row on desktop. The first tile holds the title, and an optional last tile links to the collection.
Where to find it: select Add section in the theme editor, then choose Featured collection.
Choosing the collection and rows
- Collection picks the collection. Its products show in the collection's sort order.
- Product rows sets the number of rows, 1 to 24. Default: 2. Each row has 4 tiles on screens wider than 1024 px, and 2 on phones and on tablets held upright.
- Title and Subtitle fill the first tile, for example "Featured collection" and "Shop now". Leave both empty to remove the tile and give its place to a product.
- Show link to collection page adds a "View all products" tile at the end of the grid.
- Heading tag sets the HTML level of the title for search engines; it does not change its size.
The title tile and the "View all products" tile each take the place of one product. With 2 rows (8 tiles), a title and the link, the section shows 6 products.
How do product cards look?
The product tiles use the Product card theme settings: media aspect ratio, second image on hover, badges, color swatches, ratings and the quick buy button. The section has no card settings of its own.
How many products can I show?
Up to 96: 24 rows of 4 tiles, minus the title and link tiles. The old documentation said 5 rows; Split 5.1.0 allows 1 to 24. If the collection has fewer products, the section shows only those, so the last row may be shorter.
Why does the section show sample products?
Because no collection is selected. Pick one in Collection and the sample products are replaced.
Does the product page breadcrumb show the collection?
Yes, when Improve product breadcrumb navigation is on in Theme settings → SEO & performance. The product links then carry the collection, and the product page breadcrumb shows it. See SEO and performance theme settings.
