Product recommendations section
The Product recommendations section shows 3 to 6 related products below the product page in Highlight, chosen by Shopify.

The Product recommendations section shows products related to the one the customer is viewing, in a slider below the product information. Shopify chooses the products.
Where to find it: open Products → Default product in the theme editor and select Product recommendations, below the Product information section.
Product recommendations
- Heading is the title above the slider. The default product template uses "You may also like".
- Maximum number of products shown (3 to 6, default 3) sets how many products the slider can hold. Customers drag or use the arrows to see the ones that do not fit.
- The products use the product card style from Product card theme settings, with swatches, ratings and Quick buy when those are on. Unique product badges do not show here.
- When Shopify has no recommendation for a product, the section shows nothing.
Can I choose which products are recommended?
Yes, in Shopify, not in the theme. Product recommendations are controlled by Shopify, which picks them from your orders and product data. To choose related products by hand, use the Shopify Search & Discovery app; see Shopify's Product recommendations help page. The same app sets the products of the Complementary products block on the Product page.
Why does the section not show on some products?
Because Shopify has no recommendations for that product yet, for example a new product in a small store. Shopify needs some sales or product data before it recommends products. Add related products by hand in the Search & Discovery app to fill the section.

Where to find it: Products → Default product → Product recommendations → Product recommendations
Heading (text field, default: "Recommended products"): Sets the title above the recommended products.
Maximum number of products shown (slider 3 to 6, default: 3): Sets how many recommended products the slider can hold. Shopify chooses the products.
