Gift card page

The Gift card page template is the page customers see when they open a gift card from Highlight; it sets the logo and its height.

Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.

The Gift card page template is the page customers open from the email Shopify sends with a gift card. It shows your logo, the gift card's value and balance, its code and expiry date, and buttons to start shopping or print the card.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → choose Gift card in the page menu at the top → Gift card section.

  • Logo image shows your logo at the top of the page. Without it, the store name shows as text.
  • Logo image maximum height sets the logo height, 25 to 100 px. Default: 40 px.

What the page shows

  • "Here's your gift card!" and the value. When part of the card was used, the original value is crossed out next to the remaining balance.
  • The gift card code, and "Use this code at checkout to redeem your gift card".
  • The expiry date, when the gift card has one, or a note that the card is expired or not valid.
  • A Start shopping button that opens your store, a Print button, and an Add to Apple Wallet button when Shopify offers one.

How do customers send a gift card to someone else?

Turn on Show recipient information form for gift card products in the Buy buttons block of the product page. Customers can then enter a recipient's email, name, message and send date when they buy a gift card product. See Product page.

How do I change the texts of the gift card page?

They are theme content, not settings. Change them in Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → … → Edit default theme content: search for "gift card".
