Contact page

The Contact page template (page.contact) shows Highlight's contact form with your own fields; messages go to your store's email.

Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.

The Contact page template (page.contact) shows a contact form with your own fields, next to the content of the page. Messages go to your store's email.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → choose Pages → contact in the page menu at the top → Contact Form section. To use it, create a page in Shopify admin → Online Store → Pages and choose contact under Theme template.

Form

  • The page title is the heading of the page.
  • Heading shows a title above the form. Default: "Drop us a line".
  • The page's content from Shopify admin (for example your address and opening hours) shows next to the form on desktop and under it on phones.
  • The template starts with a Name & email block, a Message field and a Submit button. It holds up to 12 blocks.

Blocks

Form field

  • Label is the field's name above the input, and its name in the email you receive.
  • Type chooses Single line or Multi line (a message box).
  • Required stops the form from sending while the field is empty.

Give every field a different label: two fields with the same label overwrite each other.

Name & email

Adds the Name and Email fields side by side. Both are always required. One per template.

Submit button

Adds the send button and the note that marks required fields. One per template.

Where do contact form messages go?

To your store's contact email, set in Shopify admin → Settings → General. Shopify sends each message as an email with every field the customer filled in.

Can I add a contact form to another page?

Yes. Add the Contact form section to any page template. It has the same blocks, without the page content beside it.
