Social theme settings

The Social theme settings of Combine hold your social media links and two custom icons used by the header, footer and announcement bar.

Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.

The Social theme settings hold the links to your social media profiles. Combine shows an icon for every link you fill in, wherever social icons are turned on: the announcement bar, the mobile menu in the header, the footer and the password page.

Where to find it: Theme settings → Social

  • Paste the full address of each profile, for example https://instagram.com/yourstore. An empty field shows no icon.
  • The icons appear in the order of the settings, from Behance to YouTube, and open in a new tab.
  • Email takes a mailto: link (mailto:hello@yourstore.com) and Phone a tel: link (tel:+15551234567).
  • X (Twitter) shows the X logo since Combine 2.3.0. Combine also uses the handle after twitter.com/ for the link previews that X shows when someone shares your pages.

The two Custom link groups add icons for networks that are not in the list.

  • Icon takes a square image, 72 x 72 px, with a transparent background. Combine shows it at 24 x 24 px.
  • Link appears once an icon is uploaded. The second custom link was added in Combine 4.0.0.

Where do the social icons show?

Wherever a section turns them on. The announcement bar, the Footer section (Text & social icons block) and the mobile menu of the Header section each have their own setting to show the icons, and the password page shows them too. The links themselves are always the ones on this page.
