Cart page

The Cart page template of Combine shows the cart items, the shipping calculator and cart recommendations.

Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.

The Cart page shows the cart at the address /cart: the cart items with the notes, discount and checkout buttons, an optional shipping calculator, and recommended products. Customers land here when Theme settings → Cart → Cart type is Page; with the drawer they can still open it from the drawer or the address.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → template picker → Cart.

Most cart options (notes, discount field, terms checkbox, free shipping bar, gift wrapping, cart recommendations in the drawer) are in Cart theme settings and apply to both the drawer and this page.

Cart blocks

The Cart section has two blocks, plus app blocks.

Cart items

  • Shows the products in the cart, with quantity, totals and the checkout button. Products added as a bundle by a bundles app list their components under a "Show 3 items" link.

Shipping calculator

  • Lets customers enter a country and postal code to see the shipping rates before checkout. The rates come from your Shopify shipping settings. The block is not in the template by default: select Add block → Shipping calculator.

Cart recommendations

The Cart recommendations section shows up to 4 products related to the first product in the cart, from Shopify's product recommendations. It shows nothing when the cart is empty or Shopify has no recommendations.

  • Desktop layout sets 3 or 4 columns. Mobile layout sets 1 or 2 columns.
  • The section heading and gutter settings are the standard ones, described on General section styling.
  • The blocks set what each product card shows. The template starts with Price, Title and Product link. They are the product grid blocks described on Product grid blocks: Price, Title, Description, Vendor, Rating, Icons list, Dynamic text, Quick buy and Product link.

Why do customers never see the cart page?

Because Cart type in Theme settings → Cart is Drawer: adding to cart opens the cart drawer instead. Set Cart type to Page to send customers to the cart page.
