Password page
The Password page template of Combine shows your logo, an opening soon message, an email signup and social icons while the store is locked.
Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.
The Password page is what customers see while your store is protected by a password, for example before launch. It shows your logo, an "Opening soon" message, an email signup and a form to enter the store with the password.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → template picker → Password.
The password itself is a Shopify setting: Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences → Store access → Private mode. The Message to your visitors you write there shows on this page too.
Password header
- Logo image shows your logo at the top. Without it, the store name shows.
- Logo image maximum height sets the logo height, from 25 to 140 px. On mobile the logo is at most 40 px high.
- The header also holds the "Enter store using password" button, which opens the password form.
Password content
- Heading is the title of the page (default "Opening soon").
- Content is your text under the heading.
- Under it, the page shows the Message to your visitors from Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences → Store access.
The template also has an Email signup section ("Find out more!"). Subscribers are added to your Shopify customers with email marketing consent.
Password footer
- Show social icons shows your social links from Theme settings → Social. The footer always shows the copyright line and the "Powered by Shopify" link.
Why does my store not show the password page?
Because the store is not password protected. The password page shows only while Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences → Store access → Private mode is on. Store access is controlled by Shopify, not by Combine. See Shopify's help page Restrict access to your online store.

Where to find it: Password → Password header (open the Password template in the theme editor; this section shows only on that page)
Logo image (image): Shows your logo at the top of the password page. Without it, the store name shows.
Logo image maximum height (slider 25 to 140 px, step 5, default: 80 px): Sets the maximum logo height on desktop. On mobile the logo is at most 40 px high.
Where to find it: Password → Password content.
Heading (text field, default: "Opening soon"): Sets the title of the password page.
Content (rich text): Sets the text under the title. The password message from Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences shows under it.
Where to find it: Password → Password footer (open the Password template in the theme editor; this section shows only on that page)
Show social icons (checkbox, default: off): Shows the social links from Theme settings → Social in the password page footer, next to the copyright line.
