Objekts preset
The Objekts preset of Borders: its fonts, colors and layout choices, and which theme settings it changes from the defaults.
Applies to: Borders 3.1.0 and later. Added in: Borders 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Borders 3.1.0.
The Objekts preset is a light grey, airy style: DM Sans everywhere, very large headings, wide padding inside grid items and padded borders that stop short of the edges.
Where to find it: choose Objekts when you add the theme from the Shopify Theme Store. See Borders presets to switch an installed theme.
What the preset sets
These are the Theme settings the Objekts preset changes from the theme defaults. Every other setting keeps its default.
- Layout: Remove margins on mobile on, grid Inner padding 50 px (default 20), grid Border radius 30 px (default 20). See Layout theme settings.
- Borders: main container Border width 0 (no line around the store), primary borders Add padding to horizontal borders and Add padding to vertical borders on, secondary borders Add padding to horizontal borders Everywhere. See Borders theme settings.
- Section headings & footers: Text size Huge, Text weight (bold) off, Top padding Extra large, Bottom padding Regular. See Section headings and footers theme settings.
- Page titles: Text size Huge (default Extra large).
- Buttons & forms: Buttons border size 1 px (default 2). The button corner radius is saved as 50 px, a value that is not one of the Corner roundness options; selecting an option replaces it. See Buttons and forms theme settings.
- Product card: Media aspect ratio Tall (5:6), Mouse over animation Zoom in, Show second product media on mouse over on, quick buy card background

- Cart: Show free shipping minimum amount on, with the default amount 50. See Cart theme settings.

Fonts and colors
- Headings: DM Sans, weight 400, Base size 100 (default 80), Line height 0.9, Letter spacing -2.
- Body: DM Sans, weight 400, Line height 1.2, Letter spacing -1.
- Body background:
#f7f7f7. - Default color scheme: not set by the preset, so it keeps the theme default, Scheme 2. Modals/drawers: Scheme 1.

Why does my store not look like the Objekts demo?
The preset sets only Theme settings: fonts, colors, grid and card values. The demo's sections, extra page and product templates, images and products are not installed with it. Rebuild them with the Objekts demo video in Recreate the Borders demo stores.
