Folio preset
The Folio preset of Borders: its fonts, colors and layout choices, and which theme settings it changes from the defaults.
Applies to: Borders 3.1.0 and later. Added in: Borders 1.2.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Borders 3.1.0.
The Folio preset is a portfolio style: a centered fixed width layout on a warm beige background, no visible borders, almost square corners and uppercase titles. Krown added it in Borders 1.2.0.
Where to find it: choose Folio when you add the theme from the Shopify Theme Store. See Borders presets to switch an installed theme.
What the preset sets
These are the Theme settings the Folio preset changes from the theme defaults. Every other setting keeps its default.
- Layout: Horizontal margin 20 px, Vertical margin 30 px, Centered fixed width layout on (content at most 1360 px wide), grid Inner padding 25 px, grid Border radius 5 px. See Layout theme settings.
- Borders: main container, primary and secondary Border width all 0, so the store shows no lines. See Borders theme settings.
- Section headings & footers: Top padding Extra large.
- Page titles: Text size Large, Text weight (bold) on, Text transform (uppercase) on. See Page titles theme settings.
- Buttons & forms: Corner roundness Rounded (default Fully rounded).
- Product card: Media aspect ratio Tall (5:6), Mouse over animation Repetition (style 2), caption text centered and uppercase, product grid Border radius 5 px, Enable quick buy off, Rating display (desktop) Don't show. See Product card theme settings.
- Custom product badges: badge 1 RESIDENTIAL, badge 2 HOSPITALITY and badge 3 BUSINESS, each shown for products tagged with the same word, beige with black text.
- Color swatches: Show color swatches off.
- Animations: Animate specific sections into view off.
- SEO & Other settings: Show breadcrumb off, Improve product breadcrumb navigation off. See SEO and other theme settings.
Folio's custom badges show only on products that have the tags RESIDENTIAL, HOSPITALITY or BUSINESS. Change the Text and Tag of each badge in Theme settings → Product card to match your own tags.
Fonts and colors
- Headings: Chivo, weight 400, Base size 60 (default 80), Letter spacing -2.
- Body: the system sans-serif font, Line height 1.2 (default 1.4).
- Body background:
#c8b7a6, visible around the fixed width layout. - Default color scheme: Scheme 1. Modals/drawers: Scheme 1.

Why are there no borders in Folio?
Folio sets every border width to 0. To bring the lines back, set Border width above 0 under Main container, Primary borders and Secondary borders in Theme settings → Borders. The primary border width cannot exceed the secondary one.
