Cart page
The Borders cart page has the Cart section with items and shipping calculator blocks, and Cart recommendations below it.

The cart page shows the customer's cart at /cart: the items, the subtotal, the notes and discount fields, and the checkout button. Customers land here when Theme settings → Cart → Cart type is Page, or when they select View cart in the cart drawer.

Cart blocks
The Cart section has no settings of its own. It is built from blocks, one of each:
- Cart items shows the products in the cart, with their quantities.
- Shipping calculator lets customers estimate shipping rates. They choose a country (and a region, where the country has them) and type a postal code. The rates come from Shopify admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery.
- App blocks from your installed apps can sit between them.
The subtotal and the checkout button are not a block. They always show beside the blocks on wide screens, and below them under 1024 px. When the cart is empty, the subtotal and the Shipping calculator are hidden.
The notes, discount field, terms checkbox, free shipping bar, gift wrapping and additional checkout buttons are set once for the cart page and the cart drawer, in Cart theme settings.
Cart recommendations
- Shows products recommended by Shopify for the products in the cart, as product cards.
- Heading, Hide heading border, Desktop layout (3 or 4 columns) and Mobile layout (1 or 2 columns).
- To choose the recommendations yourself, use the Shopify Search & Discovery app.
Set up the cart page
Choose the cart type
In Theme settings → Cart, set Cart type to Page to send customers to the cart page after they add a product. With Drawer, the cart page is still there for the View cart button.
Open the cart template
In the theme editor, open the page picker at the top and choose Cart. Add a product to the cart in the preview to see the items.
Arrange the blocks
In the Cart section, drag Cart items and Shipping calculator, or hide the calculator with the eye icon. Add app blocks if you need them.
Set the cart extras
In Theme settings → Cart, turn on the notes, discounts, terms checkbox, free shipping bar or gift wrapping you need.
Why does the shipping calculator show no rates?
The address has no shipping rate in Shopify admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery, or the postal code is not valid for that country. The calculator only shows the rates you set up in Shopify.
