Regular page
The Page template of Split shows the title and content of a Shopify page, split screen or full width, plus the alternate page templates of the preset.
Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.
The Regular page template shows a page you wrote in Shopify admin → Online Store → Pages, such as About us or Shipping: the page title and the page content, as two halves or full width. Every page uses it unless you assign the page another page template.
Where to find it: in the theme editor, open the page selector at the top and select Pages → Default page. The template has one section, Main page, and you can add other sections below it.
Desktop layout
Desktop layout sets how the page looks on screens wider than 1024 px. On phones and on tablets held upright the layout is always full width.
- Split screen (default): the title fills the left half of the screen and stays in place while the customer scrolls the content on the right half.
- Full width: the title is centered across the whole width, with the content below it.
A page with no content shows only the title. The split-screen halves are explained on How Split is built.
Alternate page templates
Each preset installs extra page templates with ready-made layouts. They come with the preset you installed; a store that started from Cuber does not have the Jagger or Looker templates.
| Template | Presets | Visible sections |
|---|---|---|
contact | Cuber, Jagger, Looker | Contact Form; Looker adds a Map |
faq | Jagger, Looker | FAQ |
landing | Looker | Countdown banner, Featured collection |
lookbook | Cuber, Looker | Cuber: Heading, Video: background, three Shop the look, Collection list. Looker: Heading, three Shop the look, two Galleries, Heading, Featured collection |
sale | Cuber, Looker | Cuber: Images with text, Countdown banner, Featured collection. Looker: Heading, Video: background, Countdown banner, Featured collection |
story | Cuber, Looker | Cuber: Images with text, Heading, three Rich text sections. Looker: Main page only |
In the faq, landing, lookbook and sale templates and in Cuber's story, the Main page section is hidden, and the contact template has none. The page's own title and content from Shopify admin do not show there: the sections carry the content. To show them too, show the hidden Main page section with the eye icon in the theme editor.
The sections are documented on their own pages, for example the Contact Form section and the FAQ section.
