Content group block

The Content group block of Local places several blocks side by side, such as two buttons or a row of logos, inside Flex sections.

Applies to: Local 4.2.1 and later. Added in: Local 2.7.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Local 4.2.1.

The Content group block places several small blocks side by side in one row: two buttons, a row of logos, a set of badges or a button next to a quick buy button. It is a theme block for Flex sections, their cards and slides, and Flex columns.

Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → select a Flex section card, slide or column → Add block → Content group, then select Add block inside the group

What you can put in a group

A content group accepts only these blocks:

Headings, text, dividers and the other blocks cannot go inside a group. Add them before or after it.

Spacing and alignment

  • Horizontal spacing between blocks sets the gap between the blocks of the group: Small or Medium.
  • The group follows the text alignment of its card or slide: left, center or right.
  • When the row is too wide, the blocks wrap onto a new line. On phones narrower than 475 px, each block stretches to fill its line, so two buttons share the width.

Can I put a heading next to a button?

No. The Content group block accepts only Button, Image, Caption and Quick buy button blocks. Put the heading above the group, or use a Caption block for short text next to the button.

How do I make a row of logos?

Add a Content group, then add one Image block per logo inside it. Set the same Height on every Image block (for example 40 px) and add a Link to each logo if it should open a page.
