Password page

The Kingdom password page shows your logo, a message, an email signup and social icons while your store is protected with a password.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The password page is what customers see while your store is protected with a password, for example before launch: your logo, your message, an email signup and your social icons. Customers who have the password can enter from a link at the top.

Where to find it: in the theme editor, open the page selector at the top and choose Password. The page has three sections: Password header, the page content (Password content and an Email signup) and Password footer.

Logo and message

  • Logo image in the Password header shows your logo at the top; without one, the store name shows as text. Logo image width sets its width, 50 to 250 px (default 100).
  • The password page has its own logo setting; it does not use the logo of the Sidebar section.
  • An "Enter using password" link with a lock icon sits at the top right. It opens a small form where customers type the password.
  • The Password content section shows the message you write in Shopify, in large text. It has no settings in the theme editor.

The password and the message are Shopify settings, not theme settings: set them in Shopify admin → Online Store → Preferences → Store access: Private mode, Password and Message to your visitors. The page shows only while private mode is on.

Email signup and social icons

  • The page comes with an Email signup section under the message. Customers who sign up are added to Shopify admin → Customers, subscribed to email marketing. See Email signup section for its blocks and colors.
  • You can add other sections to the page content with Add section, or remove the Email signup.
  • Show social icons in the Password footer (default on) shows the icons of the profiles in Theme settings → Social. The footer also shows "This shop will be powered by Shopify".

How do I see the password page while I am logged in?

Open your store in a private browser window. Shopify skips the password page for you while you are logged in to Shopify admin in the same browser. In the theme editor, choose Password in the page selector to edit it.

Because the password page has its own header. Upload the logo again in Password header → Logo image.
