Blog page

The Kingdom blog page lists the articles of one blog with filtering by tags, a number of posts per page and the details each card shows.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The blog page lists the articles of one blog in two columns, with the blog title at the top, optional tag buttons to filter the list, and page numbers. Every blog of your store uses this page.

Where to find it: in the theme editor, open the page selector at the top and choose Blogs, then select the Blog posts section.

Posts and tags

  • Number of posts per page sets how many articles show before the page numbers, 2 to 24 (default 8).
  • Enable filtering by tags adds a row of buttons under the blog title: "All", then one button per tag used in the blog. Selecting a tag shows only the articles with that tag.
  • The articles show in two columns, one column on phones, newest first.

Tags are set on each article in Shopify admin → Content → Blog posts → the article → Tags.

What each article shows

Show featured image shows each article's featured image at the top of its card. The rest comes from four blocks, each used once, in the order you drag them:

  • Title: the article title, linked to the article.
  • Info: the publish date (Show date, on by default) and the author (Show author, off by default).
  • Excerpt: the article's excerpt, or its first 20 words when it has no excerpt.
  • Link: a "Keep reading" link.

Remove a block to hide that detail. The Blog posts section on other pages uses the same blocks, see Blog posts section.

Why are my tag buttons not showing?

Because Enable filtering by tags is off, which is its default, or the blog's articles have no tags. Turn the setting on and add tags to the articles in Shopify admin.

Can I show the articles in a slider or in more columns?

Not on the blog page. It always uses two columns. Kingdom does not have a column setting for the blog page; to show articles in a slider on another page, use the Blog posts section with Layout Flexible.
