Article page

The Kingdom article page shows one blog post with its featured image, title, date and author, content, share buttons and links to adjacent posts.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 2.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The article page shows one blog post: its featured image, title, date and author, the content, share buttons, links to the previous and next post, and the comments when the blog allows them. The section has no settings of its own; you arrange its blocks.

Where to find it: in the theme editor, open the page selector at the top and choose Blog posts, then select the Blog post section.

Article blocks

The page is built from five blocks, each used once, in the order you drag them:

  • Featured image: the article's featured image, at its own proportions. It shows only when the article has one.
  • Title: the article title with the breadcrumb above it, and under it the date (Show date, on by default), the author (Show author, on) and the number of comments (Show comments number, off). The comments number shows only when the blog allows comments.
  • Content: the article text from Shopify admin.
  • Social share buttons: a "Share" link that opens a small window with Facebook, X (Twitter) and Pinterest.
  • Adjacent posts links: "Previous article" and "Next article" links to the neighbouring posts of the same blog.

Remove a block to hide that part, or drag it to move it, for example the share buttons above the content.

The Featured image block also shows a Featured image height setting (Adapt to image, Medium, Large). In Kingdom 6.2.0 it has no effect: the image always shows at its own proportions.

Comments

The comments and the comment form show under the article when the blog allows comments. Turn them on per blog in Shopify admin → Content → Blog posts → Manage blogs → the blog → Comments. Comments can be published right away or held for your approval; Kingdom shows "Your comment was posted successfully" or a moderation message accordingly.

Because Kingdom shows the featured image at its own proportions, across the full width. A portrait image becomes very tall. Crop the featured image to a wide shape, such as 1920 x 1080 px, before you upload it, or remove the Featured image block from the page.

Why do comments not show under my articles?

Because comments are off for that blog. Comments are a Shopify blog setting, not a theme setting: change it in Shopify admin for the blog. The Show comments number checkbox only shows the count next to the date.
