Regular page
The Regular page in Seventh is the template for pages like About, Contact and FAQ: a Main header and the page content from Shopify admin.
Applies to: Seventh 4.0.0 and later. Added in: Seventh 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-12 against Seventh 4.0.0.
The Regular page is the template for the pages you create in Shopify admin → Online Store → Pages, such as About us, Shipping or Privacy. The editor lists it as Pages in the template picker.
Where to find it: in the theme editor, open the template picker and select Pages → Default page. The template has two sections, Main header and Main page.
Page content
- Main header: the title area at the top. It holds a Page title block by default and accepts a Content group, any theme block and app blocks.
- Main page: the content you write in the page editor in Shopify admin, with its text formatting, images and tables.
You can add any section to a page template with Add section, for example an image banner or a Featured collection.
Contact and FAQ templates
Seventh includes two more page templates built on the same two sections:
- contact: adds a Multicolumn section with two cards above the Main page section. One card has accordions of contact details, the other a contact form. See Contact form section.
- faq: adds a Multicolumn section with questions and answers in accordions below the Main page section. See FAQ section.
Templates that share the Main header
The Main header section and its Page title block are the title area of several templates. Its settings, documented on this page, work the same in each:
- Regular page (Pages → Default page, contact and faq)
- Cart page
- 404 page
- Collections list page
The Page title block shows the title that fits the template:
- the page title on a page
- "Cart" on the Cart page
- "Page not found" on the 404 page
- "Collections" on the Collections list page
The Blog page uses the same Page title block for the blog title. The Collection page, the Search page and the Article page have their own header sections.
How do I use a different layout for one page?
Create a second page template and assign it to that page.
- In the theme editor, open the template picker, select Pages, then Create template. Base it on Default page, give it a name and add the sections you need.
- In Shopify admin → Online Store → Pages, open the page and select the new template under Theme template.
See Shopify's guide to templates for how alternate templates work.
Why does my page show only the title?
Because the page content is empty in Shopify admin. Seventh hides the Main page section when the page has no content. Add text in Shopify admin → Online Store → Pages, or add sections to the template in the theme editor.
