What is Highlight

Highlight is a Shopify theme by Krown Themes, sold on the Shopify Theme Store. It puts products and images in asymmetrical layouts with parallax movement, on a clean one-color design, for fashion, lifestyle, art and one-product stores.

Where to find it: Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes, once you have added Highlight from the Shopify Theme Store.

• The current version is Highlight 4.1.0, released 2026-09-24.
• Highlight was first released as 1.0.0 on 2021-05-05. Highlight 2.0.0 (2021) moved it to Online Store 2.0, with sections on every page.

• Page building: 30 sections you can add from Add section, offered as 33 presets, including the Flex cards and Flex grid sections that take theme blocks. See How Highlight is built and Sections.
• Product grids: the Asymmetrical layout or a regular grid in collections and the Featured collection section, with an optional promotional block. See Collection page.
• Product cards: second image on hover, color swatches, star ratings from review apps, unique product badges and Quick buy. See Product card theme settings.
• Product page: gallery with zoom, variant picker with swatches, collapsible tabs, back in stock alert, pickup availability, complementary products, key product features and additional product images. See Product page.
• Cart: a cart drawer or a cart page, cart notes, discount codes, a terms and conditions checkbox and a free shipping bar. See Cart theme settings.
• Popups: a cookie banner, a newsletter popup, and image, custom and product popups. See Popups section.
• Header and footer: a menu drawer with up to three menu levels, predictive search in a search drawer, Shopify's account sign-in, language and country selectors. See Header section and Footer group.

The checkout itself is controlled by Shopify, not by Highlight.

Highlight comes in three presets: Highlight, Single and Brush.

• All three install the same sections, blocks, settings and templates.
• They differ only in their theme style: the three colors, the fonts and a few Theme settings values.

What makes Highlight differentCopy Anchor Link

Highlight has a small set of global settings on purpose: three colors, three fonts and two spacing values. The look comes from the layouts:

• Product grids with random widths, positions and parallax (the Asymmetrical layout).
• The Slideshow: vertical section, with up to three images or videos per slide and text that changes color over the images.
• Unique product badges: an icon and a short text above product images, from two product metafields.

Which Highlight version do I have?Copy Anchor Link

Open Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes. The theme card shows the theme name and its version, for example Highlight 4.1.0. When a newer version exists, Shopify shows an update notification on the card.

Which languages does Highlight support?Copy Anchor Link

The storefront is translated into 33 languages, including English, and supports right-to-left text for languages such as Arabic and Hebrew. The theme editor labels are translated into 21 languages. To translate your own content, see Translate your store into multiple languages.
