Star rating block
The Star rating block of Combine shows a 0 to 5 star rating with a caption, for reviews and social proof, inside flex sections.
Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 3.1.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.
The Star rating block shows five stars filled to the rating you set, with an optional caption such as "100+ five star reviews". Use it for social proof in a slide or card. It does not read reviews from an app.
Where to find it: in a Flex slideshow, Flex grid, Flex cards or Flex columns section, select Add block inside a slide, card or column, then choose Star rating.
Rating, caption and color
- Rating sets how much of the five stars is filled, from 0 to 100 percent in steps of 10 (default 80 percent). 100 percent is five full stars, 80 percent is four, 90 percent is four and a half.
- Caption is the text next to the stars. It is plain text, without links or bold.
- Star color sets the color of the stars, both the filled part and the outline (default yellow, #FFCC00).
How do I show 4.5 stars?
Set Rating to 90 percent. Each star is 20 percent, so 90 percent fills four stars and half of the fifth. The rating moves in steps of 10 percent, so half stars are the smallest step.
Does the star rating show my real product reviews?
No. The Star rating block shows the rating you type. Real ratings from a reviews app show in product grids and on the product page, through the app chosen in Product card theme settings. See Recommended rating apps.
