Divider block

The Divider block of Combine draws a horizontal line between blocks, with its own height, width, color and style.

Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 3.1.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.

The Divider block draws a horizontal line between other blocks inside a slide, card or column. Use it to separate a heading from its text or a price list from a button.

Where to find it: in a Flex slideshow, Flex grid, Flex cards or Flex columns section, select Add block inside a slide, card or column, then choose Divider.

Line size

  • Height sets the line thickness, 1 to 10 px (default 1 px).
  • Width sets the line length: Small (50 px, the default), Medium (100 px), Large (150 px) or Maximum (the full width of the card's text area).
  • The short lines follow the text alignment of the section or card: left, center or right.

Line color and style

  • Color sets the line color (default black). Change it on dark cards, where a black line does not show.
  • Style sets the line pattern: Solid (the default), Dotted, Dashed or Double. Dotted, dashed and double lines need a Height of 2 px or more to look different from a solid line.

How do I add space above and below the divider?

Add an Empty space block before or after it. The space between all blocks of a card comes from the section's Text spacing setting; an Empty space block adds more in one place only.

Can I draw a line between two sections?

Not with this block. Use the Divider section, which you add between two sections with Add section.
