Go to top section
The Go to top section of Borders adds a floating button that scrolls back to the top of the page, on the left, center or right.
Applies to: Borders 3.1.0 and later. Added in: Borders 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Borders 3.1.0.
The Go to top section adds a small round button at the bottom of the screen. Selecting it scrolls the page smoothly back to the top. It helps customers on long pages, such as large collections.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Overlay group → Add section → Go to top
Position and colors
- The button appears after the customer scrolls down 500 px, and hides again near the top of the page.
- Position puts it at the bottom left, center or right of the screen (default Right).
- Color scheme sets its colors.
- The section can be added once, and it shows on every page.
Why does the Go to top button cover my chat or cart button?
Both sit in the same corner of the screen. Set Position to Left or Center, or move the app's button in the app's own settings.

Position (dropdown, default: Right): Sets where the button sits at the bottom of the screen. It appears after the customer scrolls down 500 px. Options: Left, Center, Right.
