Button block
The Button block adds a link button inside a Split Flex card or Text card, outline or solid, opening in the same or a new window.
Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 5.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.
The Button block adds a link button with a small arrow inside a Card, a Text card or a Content group, outline or solid.
Where to find it: select Add block inside a Card, Text card or Content group, then choose Button.
Adding a button
Add the block
Select Add block inside the card and choose Button. To put two buttons side by side, add a Content group first and the buttons inside it.
Write the label and link
Type the text in Button label and select a page, product or collection in Button link. A button with an empty label is not shown.
Choose how it opens and looks
Turn on Open link in a new window if needed. Set Button style to Outline (a border in the text color) or Solid (filled with the text color).
- The button colors follow the card's text color, or the body text color from Colors theme settings.
- The corner radius is the button radius from Typography theme settings.
Why does my button not open its link?
The Text card around it has its own Link, which covers the whole card and blocks the links inside it. Remove the card Link, or remove the button. See Text card.
