Content group block

The Content group block puts Buttons, Images and Captions side by side in one row inside a Split Flex card or Text card.

Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 5.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.

The Content group block puts Buttons, Images and Captions side by side in one row inside a Card or Text card, for example two buttons or a row of logos.

Where to find it: select Add block inside a Card or Text card, then choose Content group.

What a content group holds

  • A Content group accepts three blocks: Button, Image and Caption. A new Content group comes with two Buttons.
  • The blocks sit in one row and wrap to a new line when the card is too narrow.
  • The row follows the card's text alignment: left, center or right.
  • Content groups cannot hold Headings, Text or another Content group. Add those to the card itself, above or below the group.

Spacing between blocks

Horizontal spacing between blocks sets the gap between the blocks of the row: Small (20 px, the default) or Medium (30 px).

How do I put two buttons side by side?

Add a Content group inside the card, then add two Button blocks inside the group. Buttons added directly to the card stack one under the other.
