Typography theme settings
The Typography theme settings choose the heading and body fonts of Split, their base sizes and line heights, and the corner radius of buttons.
Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.
Split uses two fonts: one for headings and one for body text. Both come from the Shopify font library. The Typography group also sets the base sizes, the line heights and the corner radius of buttons.

Headings
- Font family sets the font of every title (section titles, page titles, product titles). Select Change to pick a font and its weight from the Shopify font library.
- Base size scales every heading at once. It is the size of the main page title (H1) on screens wider than 1366 px; smaller screens and smaller headings scale down in proportion.
- Line height sets the space between lines of a heading that wraps.
- Show horizontal rules adds a short line under the title in sections such as the Regular page, Collection list, Contact Form and the cart page.
Body
- Font family sets the font of paragraphs, menus, prices, buttons and form fields. Split has no separate menu font: the menus use the body font.
- Base size scales all body text, from 12 to 28 px. Captions, prices and other small text stay in proportion to it.
- Line height sets the space between lines of body text.
Buttons
- Border radius rounds the corners of buttons, product badges and the accelerated checkout buttons, from 0 (square) to 30 px (fully rounded, the default).
Can I use my own font?
Not with theme settings. Split offers only the fonts of the Shopify font library. A font file you upload, or a Google Font that is not in the library, needs a change to the theme code. The steps are on Custom CSS and code; Krown support does not provide help with custom code.
Can I use a different font for the menu?
No. Split has a heading font and a body font only, and the menu uses the body font. Pick the body font with the menu in mind, or ask a developer for custom code.
