Embellishments theme settings
The Embellishments theme settings turn on Split's media preloader, the small circle shown while images load, and the go to top button.
Applies to: Split 5.1.0 and later. Added in: Split 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Split 5.1.0.
Embellishments are two small extras that apply to the whole store: a loading indicator on images and a button that scrolls back to the top of the page.
Where to find it: Theme settings → Embellishments
Media preloader
- Media preloader shows a small spinning circle over images and videos until they have loaded. It is on by default.
- The circle appears in product cards, the Slideshow, Gallery, Image, Shop the look, blog posts, the product gallery and other image boxes.
- Turn it off if you prefer an empty box while an image loads.
Go to top button
- Show 'go to top' button adds a small button with an arrow and the word "Top" in the bottom right corner of the screen. It is off by default.
- The button appears once the customer has scrolled 500 px down the page and scrolls smoothly back to the top when selected.
Why don't I see the go to top button?
Because it is off by default, or because the page has not scrolled far enough. Turn on Show 'go to top' button, then scroll more than 500 px down a page. The button hides again when you scroll back near the top.
