Button block

The Button block adds a link button inside a Kingdom flex card, with an outline or solid style, two sizes and its own colors.

Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 6.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.

The Button block adds a button with a link inside a flex card: a Card of the Flex cards section or a Text card of the Flex grid section. It has an outline or solid style, two sizes and its own colors.

Where to find it: select Add block inside a Card or a Text card in the theme editor, then choose Button. To put two buttons side by side, add them inside a Content group block.

  • Label sets the button text. A Button block with an empty label shows nothing.
  • Link sets where the button goes: a product, a collection, a page or any web address. Open link in a new window opens it in a new browser tab.
  • Button size is Regular or Large.
  • Button style is Outline (the default, a border with text) or Solid (a filled button).
  • The corner rounding of every button comes from Theme settings → Typography → Buttons → Border radius, see Typography theme settings.

Colors

  • Text sets the button color: the border and text of an outline button, the fill of a solid button. The text on a solid button turns black or white automatically, depending on how light the fill is.
  • Accent sets the color the button takes when the mouse is over it.

Both are transparent by default: the button then uses the card's text and accent colors, set on the Flex card or the Text card, or the body colors from Theme settings → Colors.

Because it sits inside a Text card that has its own Link. The card link covers the whole card, including the button. Clear the Text card's Link to make the button work.
