Caption block
The Caption block adds a short label, such as Introducing, inside a Kingdom flex card, with four sizes and its own background color.
Applies to: Kingdom 6.2.0 and later. Added in: Kingdom 6.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Kingdom 6.2.0.
The Caption block adds a short label inside a flex card, such as "Introducing", "New" or "Limited edition", above or below a heading. It can sit on a small colored background like a tag.
Where to find it: select Add block inside a Card or a Text card in the theme editor, then choose Caption. It can also go inside a Content group block.
Text and colors
- Content sets the label text. It supports bold, italic and links. An empty caption shows nothing.
- Caption size is Small (the default), Regular, Large or Extra large.
- Text color sets the label color. Transparent uses the card's text color.
- Background color puts the label on a small rounded background of that color, like a tag. Transparent (the default) shows the label as plain text.
The Flex cards presets use a Small caption above a heading, for example "Introducing" over "Your best promotion yet".
Should I use a Caption or a Heading?
A Caption for a short label, a Heading for the title. The Caption block is plain text for search engines and has no heading tag. Use the Heading block for the main text of the card, with a Heading tag for search engines.
